07/07/2006 14:43:26 Hi Harry, I have just put an offer in on a Hanse 301 based in Northern Ireland, but I need it delivering to Whitehaven in Cumbria. She'll be transported to Windermere following that. I've just had some mega-quotes for transport over land and feel that sailing her would be a much better option. I am in the process of doing my Day skipper, but would feel totally out of my depth with a new boat and Med-only bareboat charter experience. Looking at your details it looks like you have all the experience needed. I'm looking for someone to help. Myself and a couple of other guys would be on hand as crew. Would you be interested? How much would you charge, etc? Do you have a CV? Thanks, Alastair

24/06/2006 19:26:13 To John, I am the owner skipper of a 36ft yacht currently being re-engine in Horta in the Azores. I am looking for crew for a one passage from Horta to the UK, Falmouth, Plymouth, currently 1200 miles and onward voyage to Chichester. I am hoping to have the new engine installed after Wednesday of next week. But I should be in more definite position regarding the engine and a departure date as the week progresses. Would you be interested in crewing, unfortunately I am unable to offer expenses or any additional cost, although I will supply food Incidently my home town is Reading and I still own property there. I see your yachting experience is day skipper. I take it that you would be able to stand a watch and sail and trim the sails with dinghy experience. I have registered my yacht on the web page so that you can read the details Yours sincerely Mike J#####t.

23/06/2006 22:50:12 Hi Matt, I've read your add in crewsearcher. I'm personaly seeking a crew to sail from Brittany to Cornwall, or Ireland, with a 7.5' sailboat. We already are 2 on board, and if I look for a third one, it 's only for fun and pleasure to meet other people. Did you intend to be paid when putting this add on the web ? Because on my boat, we usually share all expenses, that always remain quite low : food, drinks, 5 liters gas, ... no much more. We only go to marinas from time to time. So when it comes to pay somebody ... I've been sailing for more than 30 years (I'm 44), so I don't really NEED somebody. See what I mean ? Just let me know if you are interested : The trip is scheduled from August 13rd to 27th, starting at Lorient - south Brittany. Cheers.

10/06/2006 09:39:14 Hi, I have a GK24 Westerly day racer and am building a crew portfoliio. I have reliable competent crew but there are spaces left for weekend sailing on the Solent. I will not be entering races this year but am keen to get the best speed out of her! Weekend sailing is usually the deal, R&R at a decent watering hole and staying on board the yacht Friday and Sat night. all I ask of crew is to cover daily running costs (pertol, oil, overnight berthing/marina fees, Chichester harbour fee, fodd and beverages, except evening meal) approx £20 p/p per day. I encourage a relaxed but responsible sail, often practising day skipper requirements for the crew. I am currently working towards Coastal Skipper and hence this is not a commercial venture. However, the yacht has all the safety requirements necessary for Solent Sailing, safety jackets, flares(not bell bottoms!), VHF and GPS, though basic navigation techniques used, GPS used as check. If you are interested drop me a line. Regards Jacqueline

05/06/2006 18:56:05 I own a Stella - 26ft LOA and predecessor of the Twister- wooden, built in '62 slightly cramped but rewarding to sail. Real need is for crew for week 1st to 9th July to day sail from Boulogne along Normandy coast (Dieppe, Fecamp, Honfleur, and possibly Caen and St Vaast) before day/night cross channel to Weymouth or Poole or Solent. My normal crew for this sort of mid-week trip has been posted overseas at short notice and so we will probably be just two (tho' she sleeps 3) so compatibility essential. For info I am 61yr graduate ex-City who defected to world of classical music. If idea of good meals ashore plus relaxed sailing in a pretty boat appeals please e-mail with view to a phone conversation / meeting. David

At the moment, I am half way through a yacht delivery to Inverness from Koldring,Denmark. The vessel,is a 37' Naijad, and is at present moored up in Lemvig, a two hour sail to Tyboron. 29/05/2006 14:41:30 Hi there I am a 30-year old English shipping lawyer. I'm looking for crew to help me relocate my new (to me) motor boat from Portsmouth to Palma, Mallorca. She's comfortable, has a seaworthy Nelson-type hull and is very well equipped. We'll be taking her via the French canals. I'm not planning to stop at every vineyard and castle en route, but it should be fun. The locks will involve common sense and a bit of muscle. I'm a crap cook, so if you can knock things up easily, that'd be great. If you can speak French or know how to shout at them, that'd also be helpful. Ideally, you’ll have an ICC (MCA OOW Unlimited should certainly do the trick in your case!!) and CEVNI qualification, but this may not be necessary if I can get my own in time. I am planning to leave about 1st July, but I can be flexible on this, and can divide the trip up into legs. If it doesn't work well, you can always jump on the TGV home! You'll have to arrange and pay for your own travel, and small contribution towards expenses would be appreciated. Quite an unusual trip. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks & cheerio. Ben
